Ever wanted to be in Spain during the annual ‘La Tomatina’? Well this year, Melbourne is bringing the fight to you. With 136 kilograms of roma tomatoes to be thrown, smashed and crushed, Flemington Racecourse will transform into a red zone of tomato goodness.
Some may not be up for the challenge, but to the rest of the Melbournians, paying $58 for the ultimate food fight is well worth every dollar spent. Out of pure fun, crowds will flock the area to par-take in the tomato festival along with booze and beats.
For those who are unsure on the event, keep in mind each person must sign a waiver before entering, and all tomatoes used for the event has been previously marked for disposal.
