My Saturday morning started at the beautiful Cinnamon Patisserie in Williamstown in good company of my girlfriend and her beautiful little bub. She had recommended this cafe as she has been before and said it was the perfect place to catch up.

When I first arrived there were only two other tables seated, which was perfect for us since it was nice and quiet. As the morning went on, the space quickly filled with families and couples enjoying their morning breakfast and coffee.

By the time we got around to ordering it was nearly lunch so I tried to find something that was the in between meal. Everything is laid out in large cabinets on beautiful wooden boards. The presentation of the food is beautiful with with small garnishes here and there and chalk board signs showing what the items are.

I opted for the ‘Ham & Cheese Croissant’ as it has been ages since I had one. Once I had ordered my food at the counter it wasn’t long before coffees arrived and a warmed up croissant. The croissant was beautifully fluffy with a light smokey flavoured ham. A small salad accompanied the croissant which was a nice small added touch.

The place screams french. With a cabinet dedicated to all things sweet, rows and rows of colourful macaroons, millefeuilles, and cakes, fill the space. Showcased in the front window is a crepe station where you can order some beautiful traditional crepes made to order.

Although there have been some mixed reviews on the space, I think this cafe definitely has some potential to kick around for a while. They offer simple food, beautiful pastries and an okay coffee.
