I stumbled across Too Many Chief’s while in the Brighton area, so thought I would pop in for a quick coffee and bite to eat before continuing on.

ATMOSPHERE & SERVICE

Located next to North Brighton Station, this small cafe is bright and airy with only a hand full of tables. I think most people grab a quick coffee from their take-away window while waiting for the train, which is probably their best feature.

The space has a clean minimalist vibe with only a few pictures on the walls, polished wooden floors and a white marble coffee bar. I found priority was given to those at the takeaway window, which meant service for those who were inside had to wait. As there were only two staff, one was constantly on the window, while the other made coffees, resulting in no time for diners.

FOOD

The menu is quite small with a range of popular breakfast dishes we all love. It was a pretty chilly Melbourne morning, so decided to order the ‘Oat & Chia Porridge’ with super seed granola, raspberry coulis, fresh fruit, toasted coconut and edible flowers. Presentation was colourful and loved the creaminess of the oats.

Overall, breakfast was decent, however the service was a bit of a let down. I think this is more of a place to go for a coffee instead of somewhere to enjoy a nice sit down meal.
