With a weekend away in the Sunshine Coast, breakfast we usually find a bit more laid back than in Melbourne. We decided to drive down towards to be beach and find somewhere nearby to stop for breakfast. We ending up parking not far from Francis Bean Cafe, which is a cute little hipster style cafe.

ATMOSPHERE & MENU

The alfresco space offered high top communal tables, oversized umbrellas and loads of greenery throughout. Moving inside, the space is quite small with only a few small round tables. I loved the large mural that was done on the wall that added a great artistic vibe to the space.

The service was only from ordering at the counter, so there was little communication, however was very attentive.

FOOD

The menu offer items that can easily be taken away if you prefer. The menu is quite small, however with a range of delicious, healthy items to choose from, we all found something to order.

I went with the Acai Bowl, which was acai blended with banana and served with house made granola, fresh fruit, chia seeds, honey and coconut. Delicious! Was perfect for the hot morning we were experiencing already!

MC decided it was a two dish kinda breakfast, ordered the Bircher Muesli, which was Gluten Free served with yoghurt and seasonal fruit. Also ordered was the Basic Brekky consisting of bacon and poached eggs on ciabatta.

Overall a great little find for something quick and simple. The menu fits the lifestyle along the coast with healthy options that can be served quickly.
