Back in it’s 23rd year, the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival has taken Victoria by storm. With over 200 events and only hand full of staff behind the brains of the festival, people flock to Melbourne to enjoy the variety of events showcasing local produce in Victoria.

This has to be my favourite event of the year. With some much variety to choose from and something going on every day of the two week event, there is no time to sit home and be bored. Food and wine lovers indulge come by the thousands and take over every inch of Melbourne including our rooftops, laneways and basements.

To sit here and name all the events would be silly, however some of my favourite events throughout the festival include:

  • Crawl ‘n’ Bite – showcasing 3 fantastic restaurants with bite size samples of their signature dishes and cocktails
  • Restaurant Express – Melbourne restaurants create a custom 2 course lunch, with a glass of partnered wine and a tea or coffee for only $40 per person
  • World’s Longest Lunch – Be a part of one of the 24 world’s longest lunches held at stunning locations around Victoria.

Date: 4 March – 13 March 2016
