Bright Brewery is the perfect place to meet any day of the week for a cold glass of one of their award winning beers. We frequently visit the Bright area and this is always one of our favourite places to head to for a few drinks. We have only been here during the winter months, so never got the chance to utilize the outdoor seating area, however quite peaceful.

You will find that most people who have never been here will opt for the ‘paddle’, which is all 6 of their beers on tap, served as samples. The best rule of thumb is to start with the lightest beer and work your way through to the darkest.

The beers are best drunk in the following order: Bright Lager, Hellfire Amber Ale, Blowhard Pale Ale, Razor Witbier, Staircase Porter and then finish off with the Fainters Dubbel with a whopping 8.5% alcohol content.

Their wine list is decent, with some beautifully made local wines, however I wouldn’t expect an extensive wine list at a brewery.

I have yet to try their food, however from the mixed reviews, I will definitely give it a whirl on our next visit. The staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to their beers and ensure that they explain all the beers if you haven’t been there before.

In addition to the brewery, they also have “Tour and Tasting” experiences which run every Friday, Saturday and Monday afternoon. Here you will be guided through the brewery where you learn how the award winning beers are made and end the tour with tastings of each of their wines.

Such a great local spot, which is not overly busy. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
